I bought this nightgown to wear as a Victorian chemise. It is ideal for this purpose! The details are sublime and the pin ticks are so elegant. The fabric quality is top notch, too. I did end up buying two, though, because the first time, I ordered by my bust measurement, which put me at a size 18. I received a UK 22. Turns out the US listing has two size charts depending on which options you select in the listing and the order size is US, but the gowns are UK sized. It’s wildly confusing! While the stitch work on the nightgown is lovely, the material is stiff and scratchy. The garment is also sized wrong and does not adhere to normal measurements.

Went by sizing chart and ordered extra large. Could have probably ordered a medium. It could fit at least 2 of me.

Very pretty lavender color but sizing is off: big in shoulders, narrow around hips. Buy larger so you can sleep comfortably & if you want, alter the top.

Very pretty color and soft material. Definitely order up a size maybe two. As stated by others this nightgown is see-through but not obscenely so.

This was made in India (so the garment will DEFINITELY shrink). It is made to British sizing and someone estimated to conversion to American sizing. It went on, but was snug. I suggest ordering 2 sizes up...will seem to big but when you wash it, it will fit (remember India cotton always shrinks)

This nightgown is great. It fits true to size and is very light and comfortable. It is sheer enough that I won’t sit on the back patio with coffee without some kind of cover, and the shoulder tends to slip off, but that happens on most sleeveless clothing with this design. Very feminine. Very happy with it.

This nightgown is cut weird- the straps are too short and it fits tight under the arms and across the chest. The material is lightweight but that doesn't compensate for the uncomfortable fit. Will not buy again.

This is very comfortable after washing it with lots of fabric softener. I do not feel like there is much stretch. It is fine to wear in the house but know if you stand where there is sunlight it is see-through. For my wife this is perfect she actually loves it.

This is the most comfortable nightgown I have! I'll be ordering more of these in time. It is 100% cotton, very comfortable. I wash in cold-cold in washing machine on delicate & dry on low in dryer. It comes out with a crinkle look - but I like that. Very cool for sleeping & soft. Since I only wear it to bed, I don't worry about sheerness (although it is not very sheer. Comfortable around the arm hole and like the squared off neckline. My said it was "purple" color, but it is really a light lavendar.

This is listed as US size 8 on the tag and item description. I typically wear a medium in all the other nightgowns I purchased on Amazon. However, I could barely pull this past my boobage and I'm only a 34C. Below the bust was fine. But skin tight around the bust for a US size 8 if you measure 38 in or more around busr. Had to return.
